"By funding much-needed repairs, we are helping ensure that Ontario's
most vulnerable citizens have a safe and well-maintained place to call home,"
said Jim Watson, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing.
"I am pleased that this project is completed and that the residents can
celebrate this event today. The project was based on a collaborative effort
involving the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, the Kenora District
Services Board (KDSB) and the Tenants Association of Parkview. The Ministry
and the KDSB must continue to work together so that seniors can remain in a
safe, secure affordable environment and in a place that they may call home,"
said Rory McMillan, Chair of the Kenora District Services Board.
