Sears Unveils New Dealer Store in Yellowknife, NWT

    Offering a broad selection of great national brand merchandise

    YELLOWKNIFE, NWT, July 24 /CNW/ - Sears Canada today opened a new Dealer
Store in Yellowknife, NWT as part of its commitment to offering customers more
service, selection and convenience. The 4,800 sq ft. store is located at 327
Old Airport Road, and is owned and operated by Mr. Dave Lucas and Ms. Michelle
Oshiro-Lucas. The new store will house a wide selection of major appliances,
mattresses, electronics, fitness and seasonal items, hardware, and lawn and
garden products, including Sears exclusive brands Kenmore and Craftsman.
    "We are personally committed to accommodating our customers' wants and
needs and providing them with an enjoyable and satisfying shopping
experience," says Mr. Lucas. "Customers will be delighted with the broad range
of top-quality products Sears has provided for the new store."
    While the Dealer Store is locally owned and operated, all merchandise
sold is supported by Sears satisfaction guarantee, as well as Sears extensive
Parts and Service Division, the largest service network in Canada. In
addition, the store features Sears and third party credit card acceptance and
a Sears Catalogue-Order-Desk. Sears has installed systems that enable
purchases made through the Dealer Store to be reserved immediately and
delivery dates arranged according to each customer's preference.
    "We've come up with a winning formula for consumers in Yellowknife," says
Mr. Lucas, "by combining the national resources of Sears with the local

    The dealer store is open Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.,
Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and is closed on Sunday.
