Volunteers perform jazz concert for medically complex patients
TORONTO, July 28 /CNW/ - Toronto Grace Health Centre will be hosting a
jazz performance for its medically complex patient population. The patients
will enjoy the musical performance at 2 pm on the rooftop garden, weather
permitting, as part of the Arts at the Grace initiative.
"This unique program provides our patients with the opportunity to
connect with talented and inspirational artists and musicians from the
community who generously share their talents and time to support and enrich
the quality of life of our patients," says Michael Fliess, Director of
Volunteer Services at Toronto Grace Health Centre.
The Arts at the Grace initiative develops and organizes creative and
artistic programs to enhance both the physical environment and the lives of
patients and their families. There are a variety of projects included in this
initiative such as art shows, gardening and the concert series.
"Music is food for the soul. Live performances of music are great
entertainment but also possess immense healing powers from which we can all
benefit," states Adi Braun, Canadian Jazz Vocalist and Grace performer.
