Media Advisory - Strike in effect at Toronto-area cemeteries

    TORONTO, July 24 /CNW/ - As of earlier this morning, the unionized
employees of Mount Pleasant Group of Cemeteries (MPGC) have decided to 
participate in a legal strike.
    The employees are represented by the Canadian Service Workers Union
(CSWU).
    MPGC is committed to ongoing open communications with the union and is
doing everything possible to reach a mutually acceptable agreement. In the
meantime, the organization expects to continue providing all of its services
to families in need and regrets any inconvenience these pickets may cause.
